We’ve had a great winter so far at CPY! Our number of youth is creeping up, as we’re in the high 50’s/low 60’s each week! The anticipation of Moonlight Fever was really getting all the students excited about program.
Once again, thanks to Tickets For Kids – Twin Cities! 13 lucky students from our elementary program have the opportunity to go see “The Wiz” at the Children’s Theater in Minneapolis.
As you can see from the picture above (look at the sticks!), we’ve been highlighting STEM activities at CPY the past few weeks. Science for the win!!
We invite you to join us at our *FREE* 2018 Spring Luncheon! Since 1997, CPY has touched the lives of over 5,000 youth, and it is with the continual support of our community that we are able to continue in our mission to provide our youth with a safe, nurturing environment to foster their educational and socioemotional development.
Our featured speaker this year is Darrell Thompson, legendary MN Gophers running back, first round pick for the Green Bay Packers, and President of Bolder Options, an innovative organization focused on healthy youth development. Bolder Options utilizes one-on-one mentoring with goal setting, physical activity, tutoring, and leadership opportunities to build confidence, maximize potential, and encourage healthy life skills in 10-14 year olds.
We at CPY are so excited to hear about how Darrell’s work parallels our own, and the benefits Boulder Options brings to MN! Please join us for a FREE lunch and some good conversation!
March 6th, 2018 from 12:00pm – 1:00pm
New Brighton Community Center
400 10th St NW, New Brighton, MN 55112
Due to the weather, CPY is CLOSED today. Please plan on picking up your youth directly from school, or have them take the regular school bus home. We hope you all have safe travels home! If you have any questions, please give us a call at 651-633-6464.
Did you know that you can help CPY while shopping for everyday items and not even realize you’re doing it? Amazon Smile is a service provided through the popular online store (click the link for more details). It offers all the same products, pricing, and shipping services as Amazon.com, but with the added bonus that 0.5% of your spending will be donated to the charity of your choice at no cost to you! We don’t want to be presumptuous, but we hope that’s CPY!
If you like to shop online, please consider signing up for Amazon Smile and choosing CPY as your preferred charity. Every little bit helps!
From all of us at CPY, we just want to thank our community for coming out and supporting us at New Brighton’s Stockyard Days. We had a great time managing the Kid’s Korral and how fun is it to watch our kids have a blast?
Again, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting us and your community! Here’s to another 20 years of CPY!
Stockyard Days is just 2 weeks away, and we couldn’t be more excited! Our lineup of inflatables is looking good – bouncy houses, slides, and even an obstacle course!
If you’re planning on being at Stockyard Days anyway (or even if you’re not), why don’t you sign up to volunteer with us? Every volunteer helps us achieve our goals of serving at-risk kids in the Mounds View School District, and what better way to show your support than to give us a few hours of your time? Check out our handy online sign up tool and fill in some shifts. Thanks!
